Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve gathered together the most common questions we’re asked by Bride and Groom’s
Q: Who are you?
A: Embrace Videography are partners Steve Norman & Gareth Cooper. We have been filming weddings for over 10 years.
Q: There are many other videography companies – why should I choose embrace?
A: We are passionate about what we do! Look at our sample videos, look at our feedback and come meet us. You can then make your own mind up.
Q: What area do you cover?
A: We cover any area from Usk in the east to Swansea in the west with most of our work centered around Cardiff and the Vale.
Q: How far in advance do you accept a booking?
A: We accept bookings 2 years in advance, so we are now taking bookings for 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Q: Can I pay by Credit Card?
A: Yes, of course, just give us a call and we’ll take care of it for you.
Q: Can I choose the music?
A: The music soundtrack to your wedding DVD is such an important choice. You will usually be asked to pick around 5 songs of your choice. If you need help, we have a song suggestion list.
Q: What about copyright of the music?
A: Our prices include the copyright licences needed to produce a wedding DVD. These are the Limited Manufacturer licence which allows us to film incidental music on the day eg: hymns, disco and band and we also purchase PPL licences for each DVD/Blu Ray copy, this allows us to dub your favourite music onto parts of the DVD eg: photo shoot and highlights montage.
Q: Are you insured?
A: We are covered with both Public liability insurance and Indemnity insurance.
Q: I’d love to have our wedding filmed but my husband to be says he doesn’t want a camera following him around all day. How can I convince him?
A: This is something we hear a lot. However, most of the feedback we get from customers is “We never really knew you were there on the day”. The truth is, on your wedding day, you will be too busy enjoying yourself to really notice what’s happening outside your immediate circle. The video cameras we use are small enough to be discreet, yet powerful enough to capture everything in pristine HD quality. The cameras have 22 x Zoom lenses which means that much of the fun can be captured from some distance. This means that your guests can relax whilst we still get the shots we need.
Q: How long while I have to wait for my completed wedding video?
A: This depends on the time of the year, if your wedding is out of season then it is usually ready for you upon return from your honeymoon. During the peak summer season we do ask that you allow about 4 weeks. We take great care with each of our productions, with editing taking about 3 days for each wedding.
Q: How long will my finished wedding video be?
A: The exact length will depend of the length of your ceremony and speeches. Most DVD’s are between 60 and 90 minutes in length.
Q: How many DVD copies will I receive?
A: With the standard package you will receive 3 copies and you’ll receive 5 copies with our premium package.
Q: How are the finished DVD’s presented to me?
A: We personalise each DVD cover with stills from your wedding and Hollywood style titling.
Q: I like what I’ve seen, how do I proceed with a booking?
A: The best way is to make an appointment to meet up with us and we can discuss your day and the options available.
